As the trek progress along with the views of Annapurna, Manaslu range of peaks entering interesting traditional villages of Dharapani, Chame, Pisang and Manang visiting old Buddhist monasteries on route, after a good acclimatization in Manang village, our route leaves behind the main Annapurna circuit trail towards complete wilderness around isolated area at Tilicho Lake surrounded with immense high peaks of Gangapurna and Tilicho peak. After a wonderful time in picturesque Tilicho Lake our next adventure leads to Jomsom through a high Mesokanto-La Pass on the least explored area, as this route seldom ventured by trekkers so this will be an interesting adventure away from mainstream trekking route.

Our fabulous adventure continues to cross highest pass of this trip over Mesokanto-La at 5,099 m high and then slowly treks ends at Jomsom, a large town headquarter of Mustang area. Next morning a short scenic flight brings you to picturesque Pokhara, where this mesmerizing Tilicho Lake with Mesokanto-La Pass trekking concludes with great service and management of Sherpa Royal Trek.

Day 02: Preparation day in Kathmandu

Day 03: Drive to Jagat 1,290 m via Beshishar 800 m – 08 hrs.

Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m – 05 hours.

Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670 m – 05 hours.

Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m – 05 hrs.

Day 07: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.

Day 08: Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.

Day 09: Trek to Sri-Kharka 3,945 m via Khangsar 3,734 – 04 hrs.

Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,140 m – 04 hrs.

Day 11: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp 4,800 m – 04 hrs.

Day 12: Trek to Nama Phu 3,510m via Mesokanto La 5,099 m – 06 hrs.

Day 13: Trek to Thinigaon 2,850 m via Kaisang- 07 hrs.

Day 14: Trek to Jomsom 2,713m -03 hrs.

Day 15: Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.

Day 16: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs.

Day 17: International departure for homeward bound.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines.
On arrival at Kathmandu international airport terminal Sherpa Royal Trek staff will receive you with a warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu around Thamel. After refreshment our guide will brief you with information regarding hotels, Nepali cultures, upcoming tours and more, with a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with folk cultural program.

Day 02 : Preparation day in Kathmandu
We separate this day for the preparation of the entire journey. You will be informed of all the trekking plans and the packing lists, what you can expect and how it can be more interesting. This day can be important to most of the people before beginning the journey. Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu is optional when if intended, you can visit a number of world heritage listed places .

Day 03 : Drive to Jagat 1,290m via Beshishar 800m – 08 hrs.
Morning with interesting and scenic long drive towards Nepal-mid west, journey leads to Beshisahar town then on the dirt road to Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream. Drive continues through rice terrace fields and villages to Syange. Take a slow climb to Jagat for the night stay.

Day 04 : Trek to Dharapani 1,920m – 05 hours.
From Jagat morning walk leads on a gradual winding path to Chamje, and back at Marsyangdi River to cross the eastern bank with superb views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. Tal Besi stop for lunch break. Another 2-3 hrs walk leads to Dharapani village for overnight stop, which is a junction of Annapurna circuit trek and Manaslu trek.

Day 05 : Trek to Chame 2,670m – 05 hours.
After Dharapani walk along the wide winding trail into serene rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagachap and Danque, then to Timang village. From here onward, you can go more into Buddhist culture village with grand views of Mt. Manaslu. From Timang, few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, Chame, a major town of Manang area and the headquarter of Manang district.

Day 06 : Trek to Pisang 3, 230m – 05 hrs.
From here onward the air gets cooler and fresh as the walk leads close to mountains. Morning walk leads through enchanting alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following the Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland to Dhukure Pokhari, a small place with few teahouses overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak. With a lunch break here, walk descends to lower Pisang village for overnight stop.

Day 07 : Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.
Pisang village offers great scenery of mountains and surrounding landscapes. From here altitude gains as the morning walk leads through forest and with a short uphill with super views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. As you reach flat valley at Hongde village, tree lines disappear for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya. An hour walk takes you to Manang village where the houses here are built up in traditional Tibetan style and people known for their rich cultural and traditions.

Day 08 : Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation to Thorang –la pass. You have optional short hike and exploring Manang village and valley. Manang is a large village situated on windswept valley at the bank of Marsyangdi River beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk can be done uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang emerald Lake.

Day 09 : Trek to Sri-Kharka 3,945m via Khangsar 3,734m – 04 hrs.
After an enjoyable time in Manang village with its Buddhist culture, morning walk leads to another highlights of this adventure where our route diverts from main Annapurna circuit trail to reach the last village of Manang at Sri-Kharka and Khangsar towards Tiliocho lake. As the trek leads south-west with fantastic views of surrounding landscapes and snowcapped peaks, finally reaching our overnight stop at Sri-Kharka a small settlement with few lodges after an hour walk from Khangsar village.

Day 10 : Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,140m – 04 hrs.
Walk continues short day entering barren areas, after downhill and uphill trail over dry terrain with few short juniper trees and bushes. Today’s walk though short but can be tiring as the altitude gains and then reaching our destination at Tilicho Lake, regarded as holy for both Hindu’s and Buddhist religions, Tilicho Lake blessed with beautiful views in the comfort of nice cozy lodges just close to the shore of this emerald Tilicho lake, after lunch enjoy the magnificent scenery Tilicho peak, Annapurna III and Gangapurna mountains.

Day 11 : Trek to Tilicho Base Camp 4,800m – 04 hrs.
After a great time at Tilicho Lake, our walk leads further towards remote areas of Manang valley in complete wilderness, reaching at the base of Mesokanto-La or Tilicho Base Camp, which is the highest overnight camp of this trip at 4,800 meters. While in the camp there’s the chances of seeing some wildlife antelopes, musk deer or an elusive snow leopard.

Day 12 : Trek to Nama Phu 3,510m via Mesokanto-La 5,099m – 06 hrs.
A Big Day! Start early morning to cross two high passes. Head up the high slope traversing Tilicho pass and climb eventually to Mesokanto-la pass at 5,099 meters festooned with Buddhist prayer flags. After a tiring climb, descend on to Jomsom for overnight camp in a small cattle herders’ temporary shelter at Nama phu.

Day 13 : Trek to Thinigaon 2,850m via Kaisang- 07 hrs.
An enjoyable walk today on downhill path towards Kaligandaki valley with super views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri’s peaks to reach about grazing pasture of Kaisang, then afternoon walk leads further towards the large village of Thinigaon for overnight stop, located above Jomsom and Kaligandaki Valley.

Day 14 : Trek to Jomsom 2,713m -03 hrs.
Today is the last walk of this fantastic adventure. Start with short downhill walk leading to Jomsom, a headquarter of Mustang area. Jomsom has many excellent lodges for overnight stay, as this town is situated in the hub of Annapurna-Dhaulagiri circuit, Upper Mustang and holy Muktinath route. Afternoon, free for walk around locals.

Day 15 : Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
Morning, walk to Jomsom small airport for short sweeping and scenic flight to picturesque Pokhara valley, Pokhara with massive Annapurna mountain views with serene Phewa Lake where most of the hotel are located.

Day 16 : Drive or fly back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs.
Morning, a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, after a wonderful trip around Semi Annapurna circuit with Tilicho Lake. On reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure for relaxation and shopping souvenirs. Farewell dinner is also served. Day 17 : International departure for homeward bound.
Your last day in amazing Nepal. As per international flight time, our staff will transfer you to international airport for your flight back home or to next port of call, after a great Annapurna base camp adventure with Sherpa Royal Trek.
