Day 07: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.

Day 08: Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.

Day 09: Trek to Sri-Kharka 3,945 m via Khangsar 3,734 – 04 hrs.

Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,140 m – 04 hrs.

Day 11: Morning free and trek back to Sri-Kharka – 04 hrs.

Day 12: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m – 04 hours.

Day 13: Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600 m – 04 hrs.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines.
On arrival at Kathmandu international airport terminal Sherpa Royal Trek will receive you with a warm welcome and then transfer to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu around the interesting area of Thamel. After refreshment our guide / leader will brief with information regarding hotels, Nepali culture, tours and Semi Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trekking with a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with folk cultural program.

Day 02 : Preparation day in Kathmandu
We separate this day for the preparation of the entire journey. You will be informed of all the trekking plans and the packing lists, what you can expect and how it can be more interesting. This day can be important to most of the people before beginning the journey. Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu is optional when if intended, you can visit a number of world heritage listed places .

Day 03 : Drive to Jagat 1,290m via Beshishar 800m – 08 hrs.
Morning with interesting and scenic long drive towards Nepal mid west, journey leads to Beshishar town then on the dirt road to Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream. Drive continues through rice terraces fields and villages to Syange and with a slow climb leaving the Marsyangdi River behind to reach first overnight stop at Jagat village, a farm village with many lodges for trekkers.

Day 04 : Trek to Dharapani 1,920m – 05 hours.
From Jagat village, morning walk leads on a gradual winding path to Chamje, and back at Marsyangdi River to cross the eastern bank and into forested area, with superb views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges. As the walk advances on the wide path to a nice village of Tal Besi stop for lunch break. Another 2-3 hours walk leads to Dharapani village for overnight stop which is a nice village situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.

Day 05 : Trek to Chame 2,670m – 05 hours.
After Dharapani walk along the wide winding trail into serene rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagachap and Danque, then to Timang village. From here onward, you can go more into Buddhist culture village with grand view of Mt. Manaslu. From Timang, few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, Chame, a large and major town of Manang area and as well a head quarter of Manang district.

Day 06 : Trek to Pisang 3, 230m – 05 hrs.
From here onwards the air gets cooler and fresh as the walk leads close to mountains. Morning walk leads through enchanting alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following the Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland to Dhukure Pokhari, a small place with few teahouses and lodge overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak. With a lunch break here, walk descends to lower Pisang village for overnight stop.

Day 07 : Trek to Manang Village 3,450m – 05 hrs.
Pisang village offers great scenery of mountains and surrounding landscapes. From here altitude gains as the morning walk leads through forest and with a short uphill with super views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. As you reach flat valley at Hongde village, tree lines disappear for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya. An hour walk takes you to Manang village where the houses here are built up in traditional Tibetan style and people known for their rich cultural and traditions.

Day 08 : Rest day at Manang for local hikes and acclimatization.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation to Thorang –la pass. You have optional short hike and exploring Manang village and valley. Manang is a large village situated on windswept valley at the bank of Marsyangdi River beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk can be done uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang emerald Lake.

Day 09 : Trek to Sri-Kharka 3,945m via Khangsar 3,734m – 04 hrs.
After an enjoyable time in Manang village with its Buddhist culture, morning walk leads to another highlights of this adventure where our route diverts from main Annapurna circuit trail to reach the last village of Manang at Sri-Kharka and Khangsar towards Tiliocho lake. As the trek leads south-west with fantastic views of surrounding landscapes and snowcapped peaks, finally reaching our overnight stop at Sri-Kharka a small settlement with few lodges after an hour walk from Khangsar village.

Day 10 : Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,140m – 04 hrs.
Walk continues short day entering barren areas, after downhill and uphill trail over dry terrain with few short juniper trees and bushes. Today’s walk though short but can be tiring as the altitude gains and then reaching our destination at Tilicho Lake, regarded as holy for both Hindu’s and Buddhist religions, Tilicho Lake blessed with beautiful views in the comfort of nice cozy lodges just close to the shore of this emerald Tilicho lake, after lunch enjoy the magnificent scenery Tilicho peak, Annapurna III and Gangapurna mountains.

Day 11 : Morning free and trek back to Sri-Kharka – 04 hrs.
A leisure morning to marvel the wonderful views of magnificent Tilicho Lake and the surrounding high peaks and glaciers, after lunch taking hike slowly on the trail back to Sri-Kharka leaving Tilicho Lake for the trek towards Jomsom.

Day 12 : Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110m – 04 hours.
After an excellent time around Manang and Tilicho Lake, morning walk leads on the uphill path to Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude trekking with super views of snowcapped mountains, then crossing a small stream river to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with tremendous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

Day 13 : Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600m – 04 hrs.
As the walk advances to high area, heading closer to the base of Thorong-la as the walk leads to cross a bridge and then a climb along the river bank of Jarjung. As the walk leads to Thorong Phedi, here depending upon the physical conditions of the clients, if all goes well, an hour steep climb to Thorong High Camp for overnight stop.

Day 14 : Trek to Muktinath 3,800m crossing Thorong-La 5,416m – 06 hrs.
Big Day! The highlight of this great adventure.
After an early breakfast walk leads to a long climb up to Thorong-la with a steep terrain and winding path to Thorong La Pass at 5,416 m. The highest altitude gain of this adventure certainly requires a high spirit and physically strong to cross over it. The top offers superb vista of amazing landscapes with snowcapped peaks. Descend long way to Muktinath at 3,800 m which is a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists(Muktinath means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’).

Day 15 : Trek to Jomsom 2, 715m – 04 hours.
After Muktinath, rest of the journey is much easier with moderate walks with a big drop of 1,200m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley. From here onward it gets much windy during afternoon time as the walk brings at Jomsom, the headquarter town of Mustang region with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River. Lunch and overnight in Jomsom, a nice town with afternoon free for stroll around the town and shops.

Day 16 : Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.
Morning, walk to Jomsom small airport for short sweeping and scenic flight to picturesque Pokhara valley, Pokhara with massive Annapurna mountain views with serene Phewa Lake where most of the hotel are located.

Day 17 : Drive back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs.
Morning, a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, after a wonderful trip around Semi Annapurna circuit with Tilicho Lake. On reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure for relaxation and shopping souvenirs. Farewell dinner is also served. Day 18 : International departure for homeward bound.
Your last day in amazing Nepal. As per international flight time, our staff will transfer you to international airport for your flight back home or to next port of call, after a great Annapurna base camp adventure with Sherpa Royal Trek.
