You will have opportunities to camp below the most stunning peaks of Bhutan on Laya Gasa Trek. The trekking is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled trekking routes in Bhutanese Himalayas with rare chances to encounter with blue sheep, takins, and possibly even with the snow leopard. The friendliness of Layap people; a tribe with unique cultures, traditions and appearance will add more fun to your adventure. Laya Gasa Trek is also considered as one of the difficult treks in Bhutan due to high altitude passes plus steep ascending and descending.

Day 01: Arrival in Paro [2,280M / 7,840FT], sightseeing around the town in the afternoon

Day 02: Morning walk to Taktsang monastery also known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery, in Paro

Day 03: Drive up to Drukgyal Dzong [2,590M / 8,497FT], trek to Shana [2,850M / 9,350FT]

Day 04: Trek to Soi Thangthangkha [3,750M / 12,303FT]

Day 05: Trek to Jangothang [4,000M / 13,123FT]

Day 06: Cross the Nyele La Pas [4,700M / 15,419FT], trek to Lingshi [4,000M / 13,123FT]

Day 07: Trek to Chebisa [3,850M / 12,631FT]

Day 08: Cross Gomby La [4,450M / 14,599FT], trek to Somuthang [4,260M / 13,976FT]

Day 09: Cross Jari La Pass [4,700M / 15,419FT], trek to Robluthang [4190M / 13,746FT]

Day 10: Cross Shinje La Pass [4,900M / 16,076FT], trek to Limithang [4,150M / 13,615FT]

Day 11: Trek to Laya [3,800M / 12,467FT]

Day 12: Rest and exploration day in Laya, visit around

Day 13: Trek to Chamsa [3,500M / 11,482FT]

Day 14: Cross Bari La [3,900M / 12,759FT], Trek to Gasa Tsachu

Day 15: Trek to Damji [2,400M / 7,874FT]

Day 16: Trek to Tashithang [1,600M / 5,249FT], drive to Punakha [1,200M / 3,937

Day 17: Drive back to Paro [2,280M / 7,840FT]

Day 18: Rest day in Paro, visit around the town, shopping etc.

Day 19: Departure from Paro
